Parents, like Zana, learn to cook low -cost and healthy meals
Residents in southern London have learned to use a slow cooker to prepare healthy meals with a budget for their families.
The Sutton Council provided free lessons to the “slow ipier club” in order to combat food poverty in the region.
The local authority said it also used the club to provide useful advice to low -income and vulnerable residents.
Family centers and children’s centers run Claire Borg, who had the idea, said: “I didn’t know the course would be so popular.”

“The slow cooker club began as an idea of how we could further support local families in Sutton with the cost of living, isolation and healthy food,” she said.
