After three months of conservation work, tourists visiting Rome can once again see the famous Trevi Fountain in its full glory. But there is a limit to the number of people who can stay near it at one time. This is now an experiment.
The fountain was commissioned in a ceremony attended by the Mayor of the Eternal City, Roberto Gualtieri. In this regard, it was announced that, except for Mondays and Fridays, the presence of guests will be restricted from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. After that, it will be valid from 11 o'clock, which is explained by the need to collect coins thrown by tourists. They will be donated to Caritas.
At the moment, as the mayor explained, there is no entrance ticket, but he did not rule out that such a small fee will be required in the future. He added that the issue of whether the limit of 400 people is still necessary or not will be discussed

Security and safety officers will be on duty at the entrance to the fountain and at the exits.
Visitors can walk along the fountain, but sitting, eating and drinking, and smoking are prohibited on its restored edge.
