The Ukrainian Army captured two Chinese citizens who fought on the Russian Federation side of the Donetsk region – Ukrainian President Voldy Mirzersky said. Therefore, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry was called China’s Bureau of Accusations to provide an explanation.
“Our army captured two Chinese citizens who fought in the Russian army. It happened on the territory of Ukraine – the Donetsk region. We have these prisoners, bank cards and documents of personal data. We have information that there are more Chinese citizens in the occupying unit with more than two Chinese citizens” – Uwaudaimir Zełnski on Tuesday.
The Ukrainian intelligence agency, Ukrainian security services, and related forces of the military are examining all facts regarding China’s involvement.

“I encouraged the Ukrainian Foreign Minister to contact Beijing immediately and explain how China would respond to it,” writes Wołodymyr Zelnski.

He said he was directly or indirectly involved by Russia’s China and other countries in the war in Europe. “He is looking for a way to continue the fight. This definitely needs an answer. It needs an answer from the United States, Europe and all the people in the world who want peace,” added the Ukrainian president.
The captured Chinese citizens were arrested by Ukrainian security services.

In connection with Tuesday’s event, the Chinese Indictment Bureau was called to the Chinese Foreign Ministry for Foreign Affairs to provide an explanation. Foreign Minister Andri Sibikha has condemned “Russia’s involvement of Chinese citizens in the war of aggression against Ukraine and participation in the battle with Ukrainian forces.”

“Chinese citizens fighting as part of Ukrainian Russian invasion forces are questioning China’s position declared by China, undermining Beijing’s credibility as a responsible permanent member of the UN Security Council,” he wrote on social media.
