In an interview with CNN, Steve Witkov spoke about his visit to Moscow on Thursday. He described his conversation with Vladimir Putin as “positive” and “solution-based” – Reuters writes.
Witkov also said Putin would “accept President Trump’s philosophy,” hoping for an end to the war.
– We hope to see a phone conversation with both presidents (eds. Trump and Putin) this week, as well as commitment and discussions with Ukrainians – Witkov said. In his opinion, the conversation is “really good and positive.”

Vitkov also said the positions of the four occupied and annexed by Russia were extremely important in negotiations. However, he refused to answer the question of whether the US recognized the interests of Russia’s territory.

When asked about the perspective of time, Witkov said Trump was talking about the end of a few weeks of battle and added that he agreed to the president.
