Presidential candidate KO emphasized in his recent meeting with voters that only Ukrainians who not only live in Poland, but also work and pay taxes, should receive 800+. WP reporter Marek Gorczak asked Poles what they thought of the idea. The vast majority of them gave it a positive assessment. – Of course. They get free and I have a small pension. I am in favor of their work, said one of the adults. Another woman interviewed said that Ukrainians living in Poland “must work and pay taxes.” – We don’t keep them. Let them do it themselves, he adds. – If someone doesn’t work because he doesn’t want to, he shouldn’t have anything. I believe that each person should work for himself, not at the expense of others, – another interviewee said. The Poles believe that Ukrainians should contribute to the Polish budget, adding that they understand why Ukrainian citizens had to leave their country.
