The Reuters agency has announced that the dangerous tsunami waves caused by the earthquake could occur within a radius of 300 km from the epicenter along the Tonga coast.

The agency confirmed that there was a threat from a tsunami. “Be prepared to follow the directives of the national authorities,” we read.
