“The European Union is leviing a troublesome 50% whiskey tariff,” President Donald Trump wrote on his own social media. “If it’s not discontinued soon, the US will soon apply 200% tariffs on all European Union wines, champagne and alcoholic products. This will be great news for companies dealing in American wines and champagne,” he added.
“One of the world’s most hostile and fraudulent tax and tariff organs, the European Union was created solely to benefit from the US and just imposed a 50% nasty tariff on whiskey, President Donald Trump wrote on his own social media.
“If this tariff is not immediately removed, the US will soon apply 200% tariffs on all wine, champagne and alcoholic products, and will become other countries represented by the EU. This will be great news for US wine and champagne companies.”
