April 9, 2024—DENTON — U.S. News & World Report has recognized Texas Woman's University's graduate programs in occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing and speech-language-hearing therapy as among the top programs in the nation and in the state of Texas.
The magazine's 2024 “Best Graduate Schools” list, released April 9, includes rankings for 11 fields based solely on surveys of academic leaders in each field.
Texas Woman's University's occupational therapy program tied for 16th place out of 263 graduate OT programs evaluated, and the university's physical therapy program tied for 29th place out of 245 graduate PT programs evaluated.
TWU’s nursing program was ranked in the top 15 percent of master’s nursing programs, and the speech therapy program was ranked in the top half of graduate programs in its field.
Among graduate programs at Texas universities, TWU's occupational therapy program was ranked first and its physical therapy program second, while Texas Woman's University's master's of nursing program was ranked fourth and its speech-language-hearing therapy program eighth in the state.
U.S. News also ranked TWU's graduate programs in health care administration, biological sciences, English, fine arts, psychology, sociology and library and information science.
