The “Ukrainskaya Pravda” website reported on Saturday evening that the Ukrainian forces carried out an air attack on the building of an incendiary plant in the city of Chasiv Yar, confirming that it was under the control of the Russian army.
According to the source, the power plant area was a “safe haven” for the defense forces, who were forced to retreat to a residential area destroyed by gunfire.
“Ukraine Pravda” publication, relying on its sources, wrote that Ukrainian forces currently control about 30 percent of the territory of Chasov Yar.

The fighting for Chasiv Yar, where 12 thousand people lived before Russia’s armed attack on Ukraine, has been going on since April 2024.
At the beginning of January of this year, the commander of the 24th Independent Mechanized Brigade told the Ukrainian TV “Suspilne” that the Russian forces are trying to cross the canal passing through the city every day in order to capture more areas. According to soldiers of the 48th Independent Artillery Brigade, who are fighting in this sector, if Velikaya Novosilka is captured, Russian forces will have an open way for further attacks in several areas: north of Donetsk region towards the city of Pokrovsk and west towards Zaporozhye and Dnipropetrovsk regions. .
