The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained a 16-year-old girl who was spying for Russia. The teenager traveled long distances in a taxi, photographing important locations and strategic points along the way. Her information was intended to assist in planning further attacks.
The SBU detained a 16-year-old girl in Chernihiv, the capital of Chernihiv Oblast in eastern Ukraine. Residents of the city helped the Russian military gather important information in planning further shelling and attacks.
“The Security Service of Ukraine has detained another Russian military intelligence agent in Chernihiv. The culprit turned out to be a 16-year-old girl. She is involved in criminal activities of the Russian Federation and ”, the SBU reported on social media.

The teenage girl pretended to be going on a long trip and toured the city in a rented taxi. During this time, she photographed important points and recorded their exact locations.
After each such trip, she returned home and prepared a report containing photos and detailed information about the objects. The 16-year-old girl was in constant contact with GRU (General Intelligence Directorate) personnel directly and through anonymous instant messenger chats.

The SBU caught an agent red-handed taking photos of defense facilities. She was immediately taken into custody and her electronic equipment was taken away for analysis.
The boy was charged with high treason, which he committed under martial law. She faces a possible life sentence and forfeiture of her assets. He is currently in custody. The case is being handled by the Chernihiv District Prosecutor's Office.
