Denmark’s Foreign Ministry announced Monday that President Donald Trump’s eldest son plans to visit Greenland. Donald Trump Jr. is set to arrive on the world’s largest island, just two weeks after his father suggested he wanted to annex it. There are no plans for talks with Greenlandic officials, as reported.

The island’s government then responded in a manner similar to that in 2019, when Trump was the first US president and wanted to purchase the island.
– Greenland is ours. We are not for sale and never will be. We cannot afford to lose the long fight for freedom, Prime Minister Egede declared.

Moreover, Trump was not the first US president to propose purchasing the world’s largest island. A similar proposal had already been made by President Harry Truman in 1945.
On Monday, the U.S. Congress met to officially count the electors and confirm the election of Donald Trump as president. This officially ended the entire election process. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for January 20th.
