In addition to the care provided by the Campus Counseling Center, all students at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point now have access to services that fall under the umbrella of “Campus-Wide Care.”
Supported by the University of Wisconsin and partnering with Mantra Health, Whole Campus Care creates a mental health and wellness pathway for students from the moment they step on campus through graduation. Additional services include online self-guided wellness lessons, 24/7 on-demand emotional support and online peer support communities, emotional wellness coaching with certified coaches, and virtual therapy accessible in the evenings and on weekends. Whole Campus Care is a holistic solution to student wellness that complements current counseling centers and aims to reach “upstream” to support students on and off campus.
Students may be overwhelmed and stressed, but may not need one-on-one therapeutic support or feel uncomfortable seeking clinical services. With a comprehensive end-to-end solution, students can find what they need and get the services they feel are right for them.
“At the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, student mental health is a top priority,” said Troy Seppelt, assistant vice president and dean of students. “As we strive to ensure students feel comfortable talking about their mental health concerns, we see more students seeking support each year. The addition of Whole Campus Care will provide a resource essential to the health and well-being of our students.”
Therapy services through the Counseling Center and Campus-Wide Care program are provided free of charge to all students enrolled at UW-Stevens Point. The Mantra Health app, available for Apple and Android, provides Campus-Wide Care services 24/7, allowing students to connect anytime, anywhere, even during vacations and summer breaks.
