During Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania, the Republican candidate revealed plans to promote protectionist trade policies in the United States.
He paid particular attention to the issue of trade in goods with the European Union. He said European countries will regret not deciding to buy more American exports.

– They won't buy our car. They don't buy our produce. They sell millions of cars in the US. No, no, no, they're going to have to pay a high price for that, Donald Trump said.
According to Reuters, Republicans have vowed to impose a 10% tariff on goods imported into the United States from other countries. It also plans to introduce a 60% tariff on imports from China.
President Trump announces protectionist trade policy
Back in September, President Trump claimed that after winning the election, he would impose 100% tariffs on countries that decided to stop using the dollar. China and Russia have undertaken such efforts in the past. India, Brazil and South Africa also discussed the idea at last year's BRICS summit.

The former president suggested that America's currency has been “under great siege” for eight years. “You will abandon the dollar and you will not trade with the United States,” he argued at a rally in Wisconsin.
