– I will force Elon Musk to run away from here before the inauguration of Donald Trump. He does not have full access to the White House, said former adviser to the US president-elect Steve Bannon. In an interview with Corriere della Serra, he called the owner of Tesla and SpaceX a “bad guy” and advised him to “go back to South Africa.”
In recent days, the Italian newspaper “Corriere della Sera” published an interview with the former adviser of Donald Trump and the leader of his election campaign in 2016, Steve Bannon. In the conversation, he critically comments, among other things: about Elon Musk.
– He is really a bad person. “I made it my goal to take him down,” Bannon said. – Previously, I was ready to tolerate it because he gave money (to the Trump campaign – ed.), but I’m not ready for it anymore, – he added. – I will run Elon Musk out of here before he is sworn in (Trump January 20 – ed.). He will not have full access to the White House, he will be like everyone else, he said.
“The Guardian” reminds that, according to reports, Musk donated about 270 million dollars to the Republican campaign and now remains in his inner circle. The president-elect announced that the billionaire would head the “Department of Public Works,” an outside advisory body that would work with the White House on structural reforms.

“He should go back to South Africa”
In an interview with the newspaper, Bannon also criticized Musk’s favorable approach to H-1B visas, which are visas issued to professionals from abroad to work in the US. – The point is that the entire immigration system is being gamed by the tech bosses. They use it for their own benefit. People are angry, he said. The Guardian notes that the issuance of such visas is opposed by many supporters of the MAGA movement, which is hostile to any form of immigration.
Bannon said that “Musk’s only goal is to become a trillionaire” and called him a supporter of “techno-feudalism on a global scale.” – I am not in favor of it, we will fight it. He does not fight, he has the maturity of a small child. He will do whatever it takes to make sure each of his companies is protected, gets a better deal or makes more money himself, he said. “What the focus is on is accumulating wealth and then through wealth, power,” he said.
– He must return to South Africa. Why are South Africans (…) even commenting on what is happening in the United States? Bannon added, referring to the fact that Musk comes from South Africa.
Who is Steve Bannon?
Bannon managed Trump’s 2016 election campaign and became the “Chief White House Strategist” after winning the election. He left in August 2017, which was presented as a mutual decision, although he was fired, according to media reports.
In 2022, he was sentenced to four months in prison for refusing to cooperate with congressmen investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol. Although at that time he did not play any official role in the administration, he was considered one of the main people who discussed and organized the demonstration that ended with riots and an attack on the seat of the United States Congress.
In the final hours of his 2021 presidency, Trump pardoned Bannon after he was accused of embezzling money from an online fund to build a wall on the US-Mexico border.
