A Ukrainian drone crashed into a 38-story residential block in Russia's Saratov region on Monday, injuring one woman, damaging homes and prompting restrictions on flights in the area.
A residential complex in Saratov was hit by debris from a drone destroyed by a Russian air defence system, Governor Roman Basulgin confirmed to Reuters. “A woman has been hospitalised in critical condition. Doctors are trying to save her life,” the official told the news agency.
A horrifying video of the incident is currently circulating online, showing the drone crashing into the building, followed by an explosion and a large plume of smoke rising around the building.

The video has been viewed more than 561,000 times and has generated a lot of reaction, with one user writing, “That's not war. That's terrorism,” while another commented, “That's horrifying.”
According to Reuters, Russia launched attacks on Ukraine on Monday. Polish military and allied aircraft were deployed after the attacks, which also targeted many areas in western Ukraine and near the Polish border, the Polish military's operational command said on Sunday.
The online newspaper Kyiv Independent reported that at least seven explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital. Three people were killed in the attack. The deaths were reported in the western Lutsk, eastern Dnipro and southern Zaporizhia regions, according to AFP.
