On Flores, Indonesia, the eruption of the Lebotobi Raki Raki volcano was erupted. Clouds of smoke and ash rose to eight kilometres high. Due to difficult conditions, flights to nearby Bali were also cancelled, and other flights had to be delayed.
A series of earthquakes were registered on Flores, Indonesia on Thursday evening, followed by the eruption of the Lebotovirakiraki volcano. Ash clouds rose sharply over an eight-kilometer distance.
– The sound of the explosion could be heard in two cities about 50 km apart – Muhammad Wafid, Director of the Indonesian Geological Agency, said in a statement.

Then there were two more small explosions. Volcanic activity was also registered on Friday. Authorities have decided to introduce the highest risk and expand the dangerous zone to 8 km from the crater.

According to the AP agency, several airlines have cancelled flights between Australia and Bali tourist islands in Indonesia, in connection with the presence of dust in the air. Additionally, some national connections were delayed.
Virgin Australia Airline announced that as a result, delays will also apply to return flights, and that passengers should follow the current status of the website and carrier applications.
