Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet in Brussels on Wednesday with the leaders of France, Germany, Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom and the Secretary General of NATO, Reuters reported, citing sources close to the organizers of the meeting. The topic of discussion will be Ukraine's support in the war with Russia.
– The purpose of the meeting will be primarily to develop a further action strategy in connection with Russia's continued aggression against Ukraine, the upcoming winter and the change of the position of the President of the United States, – Reuters reports. The conference will be hosted by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Apart from Rutte, the president of Poland – Andrzej Duda, French – Emmanuel Macron and the heads of government of Italy – Georgia Meloni, Germany – Olaf Scholz and Great Britain – Keir Starmer will also participate in the Brussels meeting. as the heads of the Council of Europe and the European Commission.

This meeting will take place when Donald Trump, who is in favor of ending the war in Ukraine as soon as possible and limiting US aid to Kiev, will take office in less than a month. So in recent weeks, Zelensky and some of his European allies in NATO have proposed sending European troops to Ukraine to act as a deterrent against further Russian military action, and for the EU to shoulder the burden of supporting the country.
“This will not be a meeting where specific decisions will be made, but more of a political meeting to discuss the coming weeks and months,” a source told Reuters.
