Police officers from Walch (West Pomeranian Voivodeship) received information about the disappearance of a 76-year-old man who left the house and did not return. This man has health problems, so the search for him began immediately.
On December 1, Valch police officials received information about the disappearance of a 76-year-old man. He was supposed to take his bicycle with him and leave the house in the afternoon. From that moment there was no contact with him. His relatives said that he has health problems.
“About 100 officers have started searching for this man. Representatives of forest guards, soldiers of the 100th signal battalion, and residents have also been involved in the search for this man,” the police said in a statement.

Hospitals, hotels, exit roads from Vals, nearby small towns, cellars and empty buildings were checked. The next morning, the man was found in the “Morzikovka” area – Center for Nature, Forestry and Environmental Education in Valch Forest District.
He was hypothermic and needed medical attention, he was taken to the hospital.
“If we have an elderly person at home, we need to equip him, for example, with a GPS watch, which will be useful to quickly find him,” the officers suggest.
