Reuters reported that the explosions heard in Kiev on Monday morning may have been the result of Ukrainian air defense systems being activated. A missile alert was issued nationwide.
“The air alert was related to the launch of a cruise missile by a Tu-95MS strategic bomber,” the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement.

Parts of Kiev and some regions of the country have had their energy supplies preemptively cut off due to the Russian attack. “There were power outages in Kiev, Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk oblasts,” Ukrainian energy supplier DTEK said.
Russian attacks continued throughout the night. “At least five people were killed and 19 others, including five children, were injured in a Russian air raid in southern Ukraine,” local authorities reported.

Four people were killed in the Mykolaiv region, one person was killed in the Zaporizhia region, and residential buildings were also destroyed. The children injured in Zaporizhia ranged in age from 4 to 17.
“On November 10, 160 combat clashes were recorded between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Russian invasion forces on the front lines,” Ukrinform reported.
Clashes in Russia's Kursk region continue. According to Ukrainian media, Russian aviation carried out 26 airstrikes using 48 KABs on its territory in the past 24 hours.
