The US delegation was led by Andrew Peak, a highly ranked representative of the National Security Council, and Michael Anton, director of the State Department’s Political Planning.
The Kremlin announced on Sunday that the main topic of Monday’s conversation is to restore the functionality of the So-Caled Black Sea initiative. The US State Department said the debate will take place at the expert level without the participation of American officials in the minister’s rank.
Reuters cites an anonymous source of the White House. “We look forward to positive news in the near future,” the source said.
