President Donald Trump told reporters that Volodymyr Zelensky was ready to strike a deal to end the war, Reuters reported. The US president announced that he would like to meet with President Vladimir Putin immediately.
Trump added: “I don’t know if we should put money into NATO.” He said the United States “protects NATO countries” but is not protected by the alliance.

On Thursday, President Trump said in a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos that the Ukraine-Russia war must “immediately stop.”
