On the night between Monday and Tuesday, Russian forces attacked Kiev with drones. The attack resulted in a fire and required evacuation. Several people were injured in the capital, and one person was taken to hospital. Meanwhile, four people were killed in Russian shelling of a residential area in Kharkiv. One house was completely destroyed and several other buildings were damaged.
Four people were killed in the Russian shelling of Kharkov, which took place between Monday and Tuesday, the city's mayor, Igor Terekhov, announced.
Telekhov said Russian forces attacked the city's residential Osnawia district with guided bombs. One house was completely destroyed, and 19 buildings and four cars were partially destroyed.
Firefighters reported that the victims, two women and two men, were pulled out from under the rubble.
War in Ukraine. Russia attacks Kiev again
On Tuesday morning, a fire broke out in Kiev as a result of a Russian drone attack, spreading over an area of 50 square meters.
A fire official said, “15 people were evacuated and four injured people were referred to a doctor. One man with a leg injury was taken to the hospital. Rescue teams are continuing to evacuate.”
Later, Kiev authorities reported that the remains of one of the drones had fallen in the Solomons region. “Six people were injured. One person was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries,” the statement said.
Ukraine. Emergency sirens sounded twice in Kiev
Authorities in the capital announced that it was Russia's 18th airstrike on Kiev since early October. Enemy drones came from different directions. Two air warnings were issued over the city during the night, lasting more than four hours in total.
On Monday night, Russian missiles hit Derzhprom in Kharkiv. It is a historical complex of national importance to the Ukrainian people and was a candidate for inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Several floors of a building in the city center were destroyed.
“This is an iconic symbol of the city, familiar to every resident of Kharkiv,” wrote the head of the regional military administration.
