Russian troops attacked Kiev at night. They directed drones at the Ukrainian capital, damaging many buildings, roads and the power grid. Residents were forced to spend most of the night in evacuation centers as air raid sirens sounded twice for nearly six hours.
On the night of November 2-3, Russia launched an attack on Kiev using attack drones. KMVA reported that an air raid siren was sounded twice during the night in the Ukrainian capital. Sirens blared for a total of five and a half hours.
“The Defense Forces have neutralized all drones threatening the capital,” said Serhiy Popko, head of the Kyiv military administration. He said that as a result of repelling the attack, falling debris was recorded in Shevchenkova and Khorosivskaya districts.

Roads, utility poles and power grids were destroyed. Popko added that the shock waves damaged the windows and front doors of at least five buildings. One of the damaged buildings was a dormitory in Kiev, with windows on the first and second floors destroyed.
In another office building, all windows from the first to ninth floors fell down. There was no fire caused by the downed drone and falling debris. There is also no information about the victim.

KMVA said the Russian drones were mainly launched from the northeast and were directed at different areas of Kiev. The drone remained at low altitude to locate Ukrainian air defense centers.
Residents of the capital were ordered to remain in evacuation centers while the alert was in effect.
