Donald Trump provided information to Air Force 1 during his slow round-trip flight from Florida to Washington.
– I will speak with President Putin on Tuesday. A lot of work was done over the weekend – he told reporters. – I’d like to see if this war can be ended. Maybe we can’t, but I think we have a great opportunity for that – he added.
Trump is looking to win Putin’s support last week for a 30-day proposal to halt weapons that Ukraine accepted. At the same time, both sides continued to trade violent attacks from the air until the weekend, with Russia approaching the movement of Ukrainian troops from a few months’ abutments in Russia’s Kursk region.
