According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, the European Union should begin negotiating directly with Russia to mount weapons between Moscow and Kiev. Details of his appeal were revealed in a letter reached by a journalist. In the same document, Viktor Orban proposed blocking all decisions by EU member states regarding enhanced spending.
The US and Russia are preparing to negotiate on the war in Ukraine, and the meeting between Vodimir Zelansky and Donald Trump on Friday ended with a failure and line between the two leaders. The “Financial Times” reached the letter, and Orban sent it to the head of the Council of Europe at Antonio Costy. “The Hungarian Prime Minister appealed to the European Union for direct negotiations with Russia regarding the suspension of arms in the Ukraine conflict,” he said in a statement.
