The Umschlagplatz monument was destroyed. There was writing on one of its walls in red. The police are looking for the criminal.
Someone has painted red graffiti on one of the walls of the Umschlagplatz monument. It is written “Warsaw 1943 = Gaza 2025”.

The police received information about the destruction of the monument on January 3. – The notification came from the representative of Pauline’s museum. The perpetrator is unknown. Jacek Wisniewski of the Warsaw police station said that he is being sought by the police and that activities are ongoing.

It reminds us of the victims of the ghetto
Umschlagplatz is a now-defunct railway ramp that, along with nearby buildings, was used by the Nazis in 1942-1943 as a concentration point for Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto before deportation, etc. to Treblinka extermination camp.
Now there is a memorial site in the place of the former cargo yard. It is framed by a statue that symbolizes a railway carriage. Its interior walls are carved with names commemorating the victims of the Warsaw Ghetto. The monument is located on Stavki Street.
