Do you know yourself? The November election is about more than just candidates. Georgia is about important issues that affect people across party lines. We've been talking to voters from Georgia's coast to the state's northern and eastern borders. And you've told us what matters most to you: crime and gun violence, the economy, health, housing, immigration, and more.
I'm Ariel Hart, and I cover health and healthcare for the AJC. What are the challenges Georgians face when seeking health care? Why is health care so expensive? Where is the money going? How can we stay healthy? When we need care, what's being done to make it easier to get it? Not to mention that half of Georgia's counties don't have an obstetrician-gynecologist? Is that true?
These are actually national health care issues, and Georgia is on the front lines of that. Whoever wins the White House and congressional seats in November will be making health care decisions for the nation. How that plays out in Georgia will depend on how you vote on November 5th, including your state legislators.
