Japan has 42 nuclear power plants in use, while China has 36 reactors connected to its supply network. Russia is just behind China with 35 nuclear power plants, followed by South Korea with 25 operating reactors. India (22nd), Canada (19th), Ukraine (15th) and the United Kingdom (15th) rank from 7th to 10th on the list. Sweden uses nine nuclear reactors to support its energy needs.
