Oasis have announced a reunion tour after a 15-year hiatus, and since the news was confirmed on Tuesday, gamers have all been saying the same thing…
Liam and Noel Gallagher appear to have mended their notorious feud after the Manchester brothers announced they will be embarking on a new tour in 2025.
“The guns have fallen silent, the stars have aligned, the long wait is over. Come see it. It won't be shown on TV,” Liam Gallagher said.
The band have confirmed tour dates for next summer in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin, with tickets going on sale on Saturday 31st August.
It will be their “only show in Europe next year” and is expected to be “one of their biggest live moments and most sought-after tickets of the decade.”
Oasis fans were delighted at the brothers' reunion, noting that the news came ahead of the release of the highly-anticipated game Grand Theft Auto 6.
GTA 6 is currently being developed by Rockstar Games and is scheduled for release in late 2025, although a specific date has yet to be announced.
Social media users have been quick to point out that Oasis reunited before GTA 6, no doubt surprised that the long-awaited reunion after 15 years has happened before the action-adventure game.
GTA 6 is scheduled for release in the third or fourth quarter of next year, meaning the game could launch anytime between July and December. Meanwhile, Oasis' UK and Ireland tour dates run from July 4th to August 17th.
Tickets for Oasis' UK show will go on sale from 9am on Saturday (31 August), while tickets for the Dublin, Ireland show will go on sale from 8am the same day.
Since their split, Liam and Noel have each pursued their own musical projects: Liam fronted rock band Beady Eye from 2009 to 2014 before launching a successful solo career in 2017, while Noel formed a successful band called Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
