“You can fly business class to Europe for under $1,000.”
That's what content creator Jordan Egbert proclaimed in a recent Instagram Reel. Don't worry, he didn't stop there. Egbert explained the incredibly easy way to actually get your hands on these flights, adding, “Anyone can book this. You don't even need to have a credit card on file. I'll walk you through how to do it.”
In the video, Egbert takes viewers on a flight to Europe with Air France, where he says that Air France's business class seats are “one of the best seats out there.” But it's not just the seat that counts.
“The exclusive experience begins even before you board,” says Egbert. “Your ticket grants you access to Air France airport lounges, where you can relax and enjoy unlimited food and drinks before your flight. Once on board, you'll receive a warm, steamed towel, an amenity kit with slippers, and a menu designed by a French chef.”
The food? “Very good.” The seats? “Completely flat, so you can sleep comfortably if you want.” Oh, and don't forget to order dessert. “They're amazing.”
Egbert said the overall experience is worth the high price tag, but you can get it for less than you might think.
“The reason why it's so cheap is that every month Air France runs an award promotion offering 25% off flights from select cities in the US and Canada to Europe. This means you can book a Business Class flight for just 37,500 points.”
If you already have points saved up with Air France's loyalty program, Flying Blue, that's great, Egbert says. But if you have points saved up on a credit card, you can just transfer them over to Air France. And if you still don't have enough points, you can also buy points with the airline to save money.
“Right now, 38,000 points will cost you $695,” Egbert says, “and then you'll pay another $200 in taxes and fees, bringing the total price for this flight to just $895.”
I checked on the morning of August 12th and those same 38,000 points could be purchased for $1,159. With a 25% off sale, that would be $869.25 (though this doesn't include ticket taxes and fees, so keep that in mind if you try this trick). So, it certainly seems possible. Just keep an eye out for sales to pick up low-cost points and fares that could get you to your dream European destination for much less and in style.
