A man who had been wanted for several years was arrested on January 13th. In 2017, a three-month-old infant died in an accident in the Netherlands. The district court announced a six-year prison sentence, but the defendant managed to flee to his homeland.

As read in the police statement, the man was found in January in one of the towns near Wrocław. “He was arrested at an unexpected moment,” officers said. Later, he was wanted at work and was clearly surprised.
The Wrocław District Court decided to temporarily hand over the detainees to detention. It is currently unclear whether the man will be extradited to the Dutch side or detained in Poland.
