On December 30, the Javor District Prosecutor’s Office sent an indictment to the Zlotoriya District Court. The defendant in this case is 37-year-old Yaqub B. The man was charged with four counts.
– The employee of the municipal police department of the city of Zlotyria is accused of a number of official acts according to this article. 231 of the Criminal Code, which he committed while serving as a public official. These actions took place from November 2023 to April 2024. During the intervention, the accused overstepped his authority, punched the man four times in the face, and then, without his consent, took a picture of him with his personal phone and then distributed it. his image through instant messaging, sending them to another person – reports Liliana Lukasevic, press secretary of the Legnica District Prosecutor’s Office.
He took a photo of the intervention and shared it twice more.
– This man did not fulfill his duty, he left his place and place of work many times without the consent of his superiors. In addition, he switched off the covered mobile terminal used to communicate with passengers, which he must have. He did not confess his guilt
Another charge the 37-year-old man has heard is related to improper handling of a service weapon.
– He failed to fulfill his duty twice during his service. He took off his service weapon belt and stayed on the couch. In the second case, he gave the weapon to an unauthorized person. In this way, he acted in violation of the provisions of the Firearms Act and the Police Act. According to him, this man did not admit to the actions he was accused of and refused to give an explanation.
He faces imprisonment from 3 months to 3 years.
He was fired from the police force
This man was released from service and the case was reported to the prosecutor’s office.
“The commander of the police of Zlotoriya district took all the measures required by law immediately after receiving information about the behavior of this officer. Information about the possibility of committing a prohibited act by the officer was sent to the prosecutor’s office, which took further action in this case. ..)
