After a tense morning in which the Israel Defense Forces thwarted a widespread missile attack planned by Hezbollah on the anniversary of al-Bainiyat al-Hussein, a key Shiite anniversary, Iran's proxy organization vowed in an official statement to end operations for the day, claiming that all rockets and drones that were scheduled to take part in the attack had in fact been launched.
Some Hezbollah enthusiasts praised the attack, sharing images of destroyed homes and small fires that followed. In contrast, others took a conspiratorial tone, claiming that it was a “tacit coordinated response between the two factions.”
“The first reaction against Israel was that the chicken coops were destroyed, many hens and chicks were killed, thousands of eggs were broken. Damn you scoundrels, you and the Iranian Houthis are making a mockery of the Arab people. You and the Zionists are two sides of the same coin, carrying out one project and one goal.”

However, the relatively minor impact and damage of the attack prompted a flurry of online commentary from users across the Arab world mocking Hezbollah's actions, with particular attention being paid to reports that a chicken coop in the Galilee had been damaged.

Kuwaiti user Fahed posted a photo of a dead chicken and sarcastically added: “Allahu Akbar! Hassan Nasrallah's reaction! Hezbollah's reaction! The chicken coop was targeted in retaliation for the assassination of Fouad Shukr, the number of injured chickens has risen to 27, 5 of them with first degree burns on the wings and beaks and are seriously injured. He says 'Our missiles are accurate!'”
A parody account named after Syrian tyrant Bashar al-Assad wrote, “A video showing the result of Hezbollah fighting back against Israel left dozens of Israeli chickens killed and injured. Is it reasonable for my ally Hezbollah to respond to the assassination of the party's top military commander by killing chickens? I am going to call my friend Hassan Nasrallah right now and explain to him that Israel is the murderer who assassinated his leader, not the midwife who gave birth to the chickens so that he could slaughter them this time.”
A Syrian user named Khaled added: “The slaughter of the chickens was not an accident, it was a strategic plan! The purpose? To prevent opponents and enemies of the opposition from gloating after every bombing: 'They didn't hurt a single chicken'. Hezbollah killed the chickens and chicks with planning and deliberation, to deprive us of the fun of mocking and ridiculing their counterattacks and missiles!”

A Jordanian commenter added: “Did Iranian Hezbollah take revenge on Fouad Shukr and Haniyeh by raiding an Israeli chicken coop and killing some chickens?”
Another Saudi Arabian user, named Sultan, commented sarcastically: “Hezbollah's retaliation against Israel following the assassination of Fouad Sheker hit a chicken coop where firefighters were trying to put out the fire. As a result of the bombing, one rooster, two hens and one chick died.”
One user named Omar compared Hezbollah's response to Israel's assassinations of senior officials with a burning chicken coop. In contrast, another anonymous user named Adel wrote, “Hezbollah is better at killing chickens with precision.”
Hezbollah, which is loyal to Lebanon's Iran, has been targeting northern Israel since Oct. 8, opting for a war of attrition rather than a major incursion. Over the past 10 months, attacks that have involved thousands of rockets and drones fired at Israeli communities and bases have left several civilians dead and displaced tens of thousands across the country.
