This is really a disarmament of PiS propaganda and a scandal for which our predecessors should also be held accountable – said Deputy Minister of State Assets Marcin Kulasek in “Facti po factach”, referring to the report of Piotr Šwierček on the activities of the Ministry of Defense during the rule of law and justice Pavel Zalevsky, the deputy head of the Ministry of National Defense, said that “the arms industry was not supported in any way.” – Moreover, the private companies that wanted to develop faced a significant blockade of the state, – he added.
Journalist Piotr Schwierchek in the report “Disarmament of Propaganda” told how politicians prepared Poland for the threat and compared it with the words of the politicians of the previous government, who boasted and claimed that they spent a lot of money on disarmament.
And it was true – the value of all the contracts announced by Mariusz Blaszczak after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 is more than 280 billion PLN. However, it helped the Polish arms factories to a small extent. The most important programs for the production of weapons and ammunition from the point of view of national security are not even moving for years, and we do not have the means and space to service the equipment ordered from abroad.

Deputy Minister of State Assets Marcin Kulasek (left) and Deputy Minister of National Defense Pawel Zalewski (Poland 2050) explained the contents of the report in the newspaper “Facti po factac”. – This is really disarmament of PiS propaganda. This material shows, among other things, the state of the Polish arms industry after the PiS government. The mechanisms used are shown, Kulasek said.
As he added, “when the full-scale war started in Ukraine, Minister Blaszczak bought everything from foreign contractors that was on the shelf, regardless of whether it was of value to the Polish army or not.” “Even without negotiating the price,” he said.

– This is a scandal. And our predecessors should also answer for this, he added. – All this shows that there was a certain indifference that has been going on for eight years, that “we have not done anything, but now we are arming the Polish army”, Kulasek said.

Zalewski: Private companies that wanted to grow had a significant blockade from the state
Zalevsky noted that “our goal is to greatly increase the purchase of weapons in the country.” – During the PiS period, it was 30 percent. We want it to be 50 percent within a few years. There are such opportunities, he noted.
– The problem with PiS was that they did nothing after 2015 to prepare for the full-scale war that finally broke out in 2022. This arms industry was not supported in any way, and moreover, private companies that wanted to develop were seriously hindered by the state, he emphasized.

– However, when the war started and it was necessary to buy weapons from abroad, for example, nothing was done to sign agreements on the so-called technology, so that Polish companies would at least provide services for these weapons, – said the deputy chief Ministry of National Defense.
As he continued, “when it comes to the cost of using military equipment, 30 percent is the purchase price of a given unit, such as a tank or howitzer gun, and 70 percent is the price of service.” – And nothing was done to have a big advantage in the negotiations, for example, to conclude service contracts for the Polish industry, – he added.
