– Slovak diplomacy is ready to make an active contribution to the peace process between Russia and Ukraine, – announced Juraj Branár. Slovakia's foreign minister stressed his country's readiness to host a peace summit, which President Vladimir Putin also accepted.
A few days after the head of government's visit to the Kremlin, the topic of peace negotiations between Moscow and Kiev arose among representatives of the Slovak government.
According to official Russian statements, peace negotiations were one of the main topics of the meeting between Robert Fico and Vladimir Putin. On Friday morning, the report was confirmed by the head of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Slovak Public Television's website, Juraj Branár commented on the topic of peace negotiations. The Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs announced that the Slovak authorities are actively participating in achieving a ceasefire and starting negotiations.
– Slovak diplomacy is ready to actively contribute to the peace process between Russia and Ukraine, he said.

– Slovakia consistently promotes peaceful solutions and supports all peace efforts. Therefore, I also participated in the Peace Summit held in Switzerland this year. He added that everyone agreed that further peace negotiations must take place with the participation of all parties, including Russia, which is what our government is promoting.

At the same time, the Slovak diplomatic chief acknowledged that President Vladimir Putin had responded positively to Robert Fico's proposal to hold another peace summit on Slovak territory.
